I remember seeing a website which listed many in game items and their "average' pricing for sale on the broker.

Often times Ill find something that is not already on the broker and have no real concept as to its 'real' value and this site would be handy.

Thanks in advance.

it varies too much..... to work out a "normal" price stuff needs to be for sale.... prices do vary massively form server to server.... and the really rare stuff, (conj mage pet as example), is so insane rare that there are 0 - 1 per month and server for sale... and then its simply a question of how much plat does the wealthiest person that is currently online and can use it have..... for "standard" stuff... well, its usually for sale.. so its np.

Prices for pretty much every vary by server and also by the day of the week. On my server prices tend to go up on things just before the weekend as things tend to get bought up but not many people relist things until the weekend itself.

What would bew nice if the game itself tracked the average selling price for each item and displayed it when viewing your sales crate.

Since the prices are set by the sellers and can change at a moment's notice I don't see how this could reasonably be done. The best way to check prices is to watch the broker on your server for a while and get a feel for the average price. Supply and Demand varies from server to server so you'd just have to keep an eye on it.

I got one of those books (fabled) off a drop and went to the broker. The only other one was listed at 24plat !!

I was like wholy smokes ! So I priced mine slightly less and it wasent up there for 5 minutes before someone was bitchin in open chat about the 'insane prices' for these spells.

I guess Ill just leave it up there for a while and see if it actually sells for that.

Heh. Just keep in mind that the price you see on the broker is for the items that haven't sold. Mr. 24 plat may just be a big, big optimist!

I remember that site, you could plug in the item and it showed a graph of the pricing on it over time, hrmmm.

http://www.eq2markets.com

Looks like it was the website I remember, however it appears it doesn't have hardly any data in it anymore which is sad was a great tool many moons ago to track pricing trends.

Thank you for the link.

But as you said it appears to have stagnated. I can understand why it would be a nightmare to keep up to date unless there was some kind of parsing going on.

Why are some Masters insanely rare? I did a search for Kidney Punch (Master I) and there does not seem to be a single one on sale world wide.

(just not many mobs around that can drop them)64-69 = masters are very common.... (the ones you have trouble getting rid off even for insane low prices like 2- 5 plat fall in this category)... 70... same situation as with the 61-63 ones again... why soe went with such an inconsisten pattern though is what noone can really anwer except for themselves...

This is my site eq2markets.com. The site is alive and well. I check it every day. I have been away from the game for a few months but I am back now in anticipation of Kunark. Regardless of whether I am playing or not I intend to maintain EQ2 Markets. It is the only website providing players of eq2 with in game prices of items. We rely strictly on player submissions to build the database so if the site seems stagnant it is only because players have not submitted as much information as they were before. Please visit and help support the site by adding your store log to our database.ThanksRhed.
