Advice Needed

<p>I am a return (though for all intents and purposes - new) player to EQ2.  I am looking for a dps class that has good solo ability but that is also wanted in groups.  I tried the monk to leve 20 and was quite disappointed in the lack of damage.  I am looking at a scout class now.  (Rangers have no appeal to me, I do not want to be a buffer and would like to stay on Quenos side... that only leaves a swashbuckler.)  What are you thoughts on this?  Are swashbucklers good for a new player?</p><p> How do they compare to brigands?</p><p> Thank you in advance.</p>

<p>Honestly if you are looking for a mainly solo class on Qeynos side, look at Wizard, Warlock or Conjy, Swahies solo well if played well, but have nothing on the root and nuke ability of a Wizzy or Lock, or the tank and nuke of a pet class.</p><p> Compared to Brigands.... We smell much better</p>
