The problem with asking a question like this in a place like this is your going to get the right information (sometimes) at the wrong time. There are several very nice AA setups you can use once you have AA to spend. At level 11, you do not have AA to spend. With your first points you should concentrate on raising your INT. Your INT is absolutely important at low levels, as each point will have a greater effect on your character then later on in life.I suggest you put 8 points into INT to start, and put your next 8 points into STR. The reason being, the extra INT will come in very handy while you level your character .. the extra STR will help you carry more of that loot you'll be collecting.Once you have the points to spend, you should likely respec your AA (Very easy) .. and take the AGI line to the end .. and then the STR line until the end. That AA setup will get you through to 70 and likely leave you very happy with the damage.INT stops being as effective between 600 and 700 points. You won't hit that for quite a while, so keep raising that INT.So you know, your "level cap" for INT is your level X 15 + 20. So at level 11, for you to cap INT you would need 185 INT. Don't worry if you don't hit this, but get as close as you can.

ya i know i dont have many AAs to spend at this time. i am now lvl 14 and have gotten lots and lots of diffferent advice on how and where to spend the points. Some people say start in the sorc tree and improve the INT. Others say go the STR tree to inc my spell damage (is this true?). others say start in the warlock tree and do with the hastening tree. others say start with the magi's shielding spells in the lock tree. so many choices.

doesnt really seem like i could go wrong and as everyone says u can always respec. but still, i like to respec as seldom as possible at this time since i am new and still learning the game and i am not sure how much respecs cost (i am kinda poor for being brand new to the game).

so far i think i have 6 AA points and havent spent any yet. the INT tree makes sense to me so thats probably where i will start. I was just hoping to get some advice from other locks where they started out spending their points and what effect it had for them. did most start in sorc tree or did they start in the lock tree?

i know its alot of questions and I know there is no "one" answer, but there must be a few standard "cookie cutter" builds out there for leveling locks.

I would recommend putting your first 10 AAs in magi shield. The regenerating ward is awesome. At low levels it is the difference between root breaking being death and root breaking being no big deal.
