Okay I don't know much about EQ2 at this point. I played for a month or so when the game first came out (needless to say a lot has changed since then) so I'm not sure about a lot of the tradeskills.

I've decided to run as either one of the Bard (jury is still out on which one) classes or a Defiler (I like support classes).

That said, I was looking for a tradeskill that would both benifit me, and possibly be useful to others.

I was thinking of an armorer, I figured I could make chain for the bard, and defiler, since good armor seems a touch harder to come by than a good weapon, but looking at the stats on the chain armor I could make up to skill 20, I realized it's all STR and STA. I didn't see any AGI or WIS, but then as I looked on the broker, I saw crafter armor that had words like 'devoute' in it, that had appropriate priest stats, and bard friendly equivilents.

So my question is: Is there some way for an armorer to choose what stats go onto the armor their making? If so how? and what level can I do this at? Or are these seperate recipies I will learn later on?

Thanks for reading this, and again in advance for any assistance that can be offered.

They are recipes you will learn later on.Various armor sets above and beyond the base set have a "progression". They may start with a piece or two in one tier (T2 for one chain set, T3 for another, T4 for the final set), and then add a piece or two in each following tier. You can get a better feel for this progression, and which sets are geared towards what stats with these Crafted Gear Progression Charts
