Wards that stop the damage before it happens and Reactives that heal for huge amounts...for one. Nice beastly HP buffs, for two. Just think of cool stuff we don't have, and that'd be why.

Buffs plain and simple. Ariel has already mentioned the HP buffs, but there is also things like stoneskin, shield ally, sanctuary, to name a few. And then of course defilers have tendrils, which is a debuff that procs when the tank is struck. The defiler/templar combo just gives you more bang for your buck than any other combo.

A shaman or cleric can use their primary group heals to heal the MT. If only the MT is hit, all the hit points of a group ward or triggers of a reactive group heal benefit the MT. While if a druid fires off his group regen, at most 1/6 of it benefits the MT, so only his primary heals are really useful for healing the MT.That means a druid can heal the MT almost just as well from outside the MT group. Better to give that spot in the MT group to a troubadour or other support class.

Every healer on the raid is responsible for MT healing. Those two are there because of the buffs and it leaves room for 3 hate transfer / increasing classes.

We need some more raid utility so that we have more than just this tentative raid spot.

#1 HP buffs #2 wards and reactives are both superior to HOTs. I played one of our defilers the other day for a mob and it's truly sick how much stuff they have that is really nice for raiding compared to my poor warden alt. I'm really sad for wardens at the moment.

I guess its going to depend on your own experience.

The guild I'm in has:

Temp

Defiler/Mystic (depends on who is on)

AND

a warden in the MT group...

We only have one warden so occasionally one of the furies gets stuffed up there instead (if the warden isn't available that night).

I'm almost always in the MT group when we raid. What I've noticed on those rare occasions when I'm not is that: 1) the other healers run out of mana while I'm still sitting at 50% despite having pumped heals into the MT and group healed quite a bit and 2) the MT support classes aren't getting healed and sometimes drop because of AE damage that the shaman/cleric can't handle.I totally agree that wardens need something to give us more raid desirability. We are the best at fast, group based healing - but that isn't enough to get us regular spots on the raiding roster. Thank goodness I raid with a family/friends guild that doesn't care about the "perfect" set up or only one of us wardens would get a spot in the raid each week.

Well, if you consolidate The Tree, Roots and Wolves into this...and add biting Snakes of Terror and some Gila Monsters it'd be perfect. You think the raid [Removed for Content] about The Tree NOW...just wait! ::evil laugh:::
