Looking for Help forming a private Guild

<p>I have been playing with two RL friends since day one.  One thing that we have never been able to do is form a private guild for the three of us.  If there are three players that would be willing to assist us with this, we would greatly appreciate it.</p><p>If you have a guildless character with access to Freeport in Antonia Bayle (or would be willing to create one,) and are willing to help, please let me know.  We will be playing on Saturday evening from 8-Midnight EDT.</p>

<p>Typically what folks will do is to advertise in open chat for a few people to help them to form a guild (temporarly) and offer a few gold for their help.</p><p>Once the guild is formed the few people are free to leave the guild take there gold and go home.</p><p>Alot of people frown upon this 'workaround' but I see it all the time. </p><p>Honestly I dont think asking in the forums, espically the general discussion is going to get you much help.</p><p>Maybe on your server section of these forums might be better but they dont see alot of action.</p>

<p>I doubt that this method will be very effective in your cause.  You should try posting in the AB section.</p><p>Though, you'll probably have a hard time getting people to show up a specific time to help you start a guild.  Your best bet is to pick a busy time on the server and politely ask in level chat if you could get unguilded people to help you for a minute.  It might require you paying them a little gold for their trouble.</p>

just offer like 20 gold in 1-9 chat.... and explain straight away that they are not supposed to stay... been there done that, it works.

<p>Thanks for the advice.</p><p>I have been the live chat route before, without much success.  What I got was a hijacked conversation of people discussing the merits of what I am attempting, and the semantics of what the work 'guild' means.</p><p>It would be a fun thing for myself and two of my friends.  Shouldn't that be what determines whether or not we can do this, not some arbitrary restriction?  Instead though, I would get responses, like "there are too many guilds already," "why not just join XYZ guild," "by definition a guild is...," "you are robbing yourself of..."</p><p>All of this is completely immaterial.  It doesn't affect other players at all.  I don't see why a single person shouldn't be allowed to form his or her own guild, if that is what he or she wants to do.</p>
