Hey everybody,

I'm relatively new(ly returned) to EQ2 and have gotten a ton of help with most of my questions on the forums and from my guild. Having said that...

Yesterday I was running around the Commonlands doing my quests, earning AA, and farming some nodes when I finally got my first Silver Cluster. Excited because I could finally make an Adept III spell, I figured the best investment (since I all ready had a tank stance as my Master II choice) would be to get an Adept III Summon Servant (seeing how I have 6 levels to go before I get my next tank pet).

So off I go...and a few skill uses later I have my spell, yay! I scribe it and summon my new pet.

Hmmmm, so I'm happy with the change but was curious. What is the difference between an Apprentice I -> Apprentice IV -> Adept I -> Adept III as far as pet spells go?

I tried looking to see if I could record my pet HP's or DPS, but have no mods to do so (I couldn't inspect or hover over his HP bar to figure it out). When I summoned the new pet, he was obviously a different colored spider, but that's it.

On average, is there a certain % increase in stats that occurs between the different level spells? I figure it is different as you continue to level up (the disparity between spells might not be as great)...but was just curious if anybody had numbers or could explain it to me?

It seems that with damage spells, I get a bit more damage per cast. From healing spells, a bit more healing. In general, the higher level the spell the less resists I tend to get...but how does it apply to a pet? I remember when I first played the game, the Apprentice I pet conned as a Down Arrow. The Adept conned as a single ^ . I don't think I ever got a Master I pet. Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Increasing the pet summon skills will basically increase everything with the pet. HP, damage output, power and all that. Also, it will make your pet use ad3 skills. To parse anything, I recommend ACT.

In the future, you can also possess minion and see all stats and spells before you scribe the upgade to the spell.

Log hp and stats on lower level pet, then, scribe new, cast and possess minion again to compare.

Ah, hadn't thought to possess my pet. In all honesty, I'd seen the spell but had never actually thought much about it. Figured it was simply to guide the pet around a corner to attack before I followed shortly thereafter.
