Weaponsmith!..is there a future?

<p>Hi all,</p><p>I have a lev 70 sage /70 Tailor/42 woodie, but recently one of our guild crafters left the game. This left the guild without a weaponsmith and an armourer. As a result of this I made 2 pure crafting alts to fill the void.</p><p>Both these trades seem to be short on recipies and very heavy on ore but the thing that is really bugging me with both the crafts ( the weaponsmith more so ), is the rare stuff you make is nearly always on sale , cheaper than the cost of the raw. They are both mid forties atm. Is this going to be the case all the way to 70 where I'm required to spend plat to level my crafters rather than make a bit? Or in later tiers are folk more likely to buy rare stuff as it lasts longer?</p><p>Thanks in advance</p>

in tier 7 you will sell less than in tier 4-6 (tier 1-3 the prices for rares are limiting the market), the problem in t7 being hte wide range of better weapons being avalaible in dropped form... weaponsmith is the red headed stepchild artisan class.... but... you never know what goodies Domino will bring in the future... so i woudnt give up on it just because its not the "best" crafting class atm

<p>I suggest you level on writs. As long as you don't spend too much on raws, or even better if you can get your guild to supply them, you make a small profit along the way. Since nothing a smith makes to level will actually sell there is no point not doing the writs, imo. </p><p>Once you've levelled then you can join the rest of us hoping for something to sell in T8. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>
