I'm in the middle of doing that quest (Draco Mortuus Vos Liberatio) and am up to the part where I have to beg a level 60 crafter to go into the dungeon and do the combine for me. But looking carefully at the item's description, I notice that at the very bottom it has the fine print "Does Not Affect Epic Targets".

So I ask myself: What is the point then? The very purpose of getting the item is so that I can improve my raiding DPS. Whether a solo or group mob takes a couple of more casts to go down is inconsequencial to me. So why the carebear attitude with the epics SOE? We can't do CC on them of any consequence. Given that we already have the burden of having to gather a whole bunch of people to take one down, shouldn't we at least be allowed to do that meager amount of damage to them?

... you must be smoking something... my girdle doesn't say it doesn't affect epics.

Well, maybe you are just looking at the wrong part of the quest... the quest wasn't updated properly, or you are looking at an out of date site.

yeah, I'm thinking one too many hits of something before you made this post.Or you misunderstood something.Either way, BCG is touted as one of if not the best caster - and definitely wizard - belts available even to endgame raiders. And it most certainly does affect epic targets.

Since I don't have it, I had to rely on websites which had the info I quoted. I'm happy to find out the information was wrong. Even the news was delivery by a couple of louts.
