View Full Version : Problem with Guild Writ Raid
<p>Was doing the second one A Daring Confrontation *I think that's it* and when my guild got to the end boss she kept bouncing off everyone. We got a unique little description of what the error might be:</p><p><img src="http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/686/prooftf9.jpg" alt="" width="295" height="107" border="0" /></p>

I'm not a 100% sure that's an error. It's a pretty [I cannot control my vocabulary] hard guild writ to do. As you've no doubt noticed that common taunting methods are next to useless against her. I've tried it a couple of times in the last month with 2 groups and have nearly been successful with her. It's nice to have a challenge isn't it <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" />EDIT: wow i can't believe that is a censored word, anyway.

The second time we tried her she just bugged up and changed targets every 1-3 seconds as said. As the healer I was basically doing constant group heals keeping everyone up. We barely managed to survive and this was probably due to the fact we had an illusionist.

<p> She mem-wipes, you have to wait for her message and grab agro back quickly. Some mobs have the annoying strategy of having their hate list clear and going for a new target. Actually all of the named in that zone does the memwipe, and each one seems to prefer a particular class. One of the healers needs to heal through the mob to keep the new victim alive until the tank can get it under control again. You will see the message displayed that she is picking a new target, it should give you enough time to react. </p><p> That error message seems to have been coming up alot in various instances recently. I was seeing it almost every fight in unrest this past weekend. The mem-wipe always happened, it is one of the tricks to that raid. I don't think the two are related. </p><p> Edit _ </p><p> Oh, I see what you mean, yes if she is saying that and switching every 2-3 seconds, sounds like she went a little haywire. There could be a connection there. Did you /bug it? </p>

But if she's mem-wiping every 2-3sec and changing targets, and if that IS a bug, them i'm glad/hope you /bugged it.

When fighting on of the sisters, she kept killing out little Fae troubadour. We'd revive her and she'd get killed again, this happened three times in a row one fight - it was kind of funny. It was the sister at the back of the zone if i remember correctly.

<p>some of the sisters pick a certain class and wil lalways jump to a member of that class when they memwipe (great when they pick fighter <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</p><p>The last one can be a pain, with random memwipes and calling adds.</p><p>We did find one thing that helped loads though, you have to keep your whole raid as near as poss to the tank. I know this can make some of the squishies more in danger from AOE, but we found that if the named agg'd onto someone a distance from the tank, then no matter how much taunting the tank does, he wont get agro back until hes right back next to the mob. </p><p>These raids are great for working out how to get past problems like this.</p>

<span style="font-size: x-small;">We did it last night with our T6 guildies, didn't notice it acting weird, we do these weekly. Think she switched two or three in the time we killed her (didn't really see anymore than that though)</span>

Did the A Lordly Confrontation this friday and it really threw us for a loop. The Dryad lady is really overpowered and almost seems like an epicx3 mob with the spells she has. Managed to figure out the charm ability and positioned ourselves well enough to counter it. However she let off an AoE mezz then charmed someone with us helpless to do anything. With the mezz lasting 10 seconds that a pretty dang big deal from a level 74x2 mob.

It's good to see that these missions are much more difficult than what you usually find around. Haven't tried this one with my guild myself but it sounds like a lot of fun.Oh, just as a side note, that message "requires a designer to write a custom failure string" i received while running through antonica just the other day, south-east of the Winkstalker-end aquaduct. Zero idea what it related to though *shrug*

I was getting this message every time our Bezerker cast Intercede on me. It happened in any zone he cast it on me.

It would be nice to see the charmed effect timed. The spore spell seemed to vary between 15-30 seconds and always seemed to cast it immediately when pulled. </p><p>Hardest part is the thing says it's "an AoE Charm" which is a big problem. Not 100% sure, but I swear it would charm more than just 1 person when it should really charm 1 random person like it normally does. </p>
