A few questions about iceshape/frigid gift

Iceshape/Frigid gift combo:</p><p>Does protoferno get the icelash proc when you use Iceshape/Frigid gift?</p><p>Do dots get the Icelash benefit on each trigger or just the first?</p><p>If answer to the above question is "each trigger", is it better to cast dots first and then cast IS/FG to eliminate the casting time of the dots?</p><p>in the Frigid Gift description, it says "duration 22 secs". In the icelash desc it says "lasts 6 secs". Am I correctly understanding that all non-heat spells cast durring those 22 seconds get icelash added? or are the procs only added for 6?</p>

1. I don't think limited pets get any benefit from spell procs (i never actually confirmed this - but it is easy to test yourself).2. Dots only proc ice lash on the initial hit.3. Frigid Gift lasts 22 seconds. Frigid Gift procs ice lash on every non-heat hostile spell you or your group casts during the 22s that it is up. The 6s duration that you see as a component of Ice Lash refers to the snare component of Ice Lash (as in each proc of ice lash will also snare the mob for 6s in addition to dealing damage). Combining Iceshape (24s duration) with Frigid Gift converts all heat and magic spells to cold. Heat spells converted to cold in this manner will proc Frigid Gift.

Protoferno does proc hostile spell procs on cast.

A dumbfire pet counts as a 'hostile spell' when cast, but it will gain no benefit in terms of its melee hits, or anything like that.
