Fae visual bug

<p>Hi,</p><p>I got a new laptop and installed EQ2, with all the expansions on it (took an entire night, but ok <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />). The problem is that each time I log in, it</p><p>immiadiatly begins downloading the same files. Ok, files downloaded, ready to play. I click on start, see all my previous characters (High Elves, Wood Elves,...),</p><p>but I want to log in as a Fae (have 2 Fae chars). Click on my name, but my character remains invisible. I click further to load into the game, the game renders, everything</p><p>fine, except that the graphics from my Fae character won't load. The only thing I see is the 'torch'. Even other visual effects like spell casting won't show.</p><p>I logged out, logged back in with an High Elf, everything fine. Log back out and then back in with a Fae, same thing, the Fae visual won't show. Even if I restart the game entirely,</p><p>the same files keep on again downloading. Could anyone help me please?</p><p>My specifications:</p><p>Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7600 @ 2.33GHz</p><p>2 Gig. I have the exact same issue, however some weapons (mainly the SoD rewards) and certain things like the plants/trees in lfay appear only as wireframes. However the fea model is 100% missing, and my launchpad speds 5 mins downloading the same files each time i load it up.

have you double checked yoru download settings in the patcher under preferences? it could be that the patcher is skipping over some files needed, due to it not being checked in the patcher for scanning and subsequent download.

<p>How do you mean Antwarle? There are several files that are always downloaded when I startup the launchpad. I even did a full scan in hope that that would resolve it, but it didn't. I still don't have the Fae visually, and apparently several other races where the visuals won't load. That doesn't work. I don't want to seem like a [Removed for Content], so forgive me if I do, but have you tried zooming in and out?

When I'm at the character select, the view of your character is the same as any other character qua zoom. Isn't it? So, you say that I have to zoom all the way out, just ot see some person with wings? And how does that relate to the ohter Fae-like characters?

I'm sorry, I thought you meant that in-game there was an issue.  Missing graphics at the character select?  Hmmm, I got nothin', sorry.

Hi, I've got the same problem, too. Just bought and downloaded EoF complete offer (4in1). Also the Iksar, the Frogloks and the evil Fae are missing. But not only at char creation screen, even the Fae NPC aren't visible, no quest NPC to find !!!

<p>I finally found a solution to my problem. FIrstly I deleted the entire thing, and then downloaded the program from the link posted by Lavaflood. That didn't work out for me. It started downloading, but after 15 minutes downloading it stopped, couldn't select a thing, except download, but then it cancelled itself again. After numerous tries, I deleted it again, and installed EQII thru the DVD from my friend, then it started downloading again, I don't know how, or what, but the entire thing was only about 45 minutes downloading. The button 'play' came up, and there it was, the Fae and all the other races...</p><p> Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on how to solve my problem!! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
