What do you mean my account is in use?

<p>It continues to tell me my account is in use when it shouldn't be at this moment. I lagged in the game, one of those lags where everything other than you freezes and you're almost in free mode on the game. a good 2 mins later it doesn't end...so I close out the game. About TEN MINUTES LATER it still says my account is in use.</p><p>Anyone have any suggestions?</p>

It can take a varying amount of time for your character too leave the world after LDing via /exit or the X, basically you just have to wait.

standard response from SOE when trying to contact them, either in live chat or forums is that it can take up to 30 minutes for the servers to kick an account that has lagged out. just be patient, and keep trying every 5 minutes or so.
