Hi, I am about to hit level 62 and I've found a friend of a friend who is offering to make my armor for cost (of course I will tip!). Considering that I only have 7pp to my name, and I haven't even bought lvl 60 jewelry yet, this is a bit of luck for me. I am doing the legwork on what I would like made using the EQ2 Traders site, but I wanted to confirm that I am getting the right stuff. I'm asking for a full set of Dragon's Breath gear, right? According to my calculations, that is a 7 piece set that will require 7 raw nimbus roots, 60 raw hanging roots, and 7 raw horned leather pelts. Is this right? Also, I understand that fuel costs are 20 mythical filaments at 35s each, for each piece. That means that after I buy the items needed, I need to include 50g to cover fuel, and I was planning to tip an additional 50g (assuming that I haven't run out of money after buying the pelts and roots)....Gah this game can be frustrating. I've very much outleveled my bank account, even after careful husbanding of my resources. I've gotten lucky on a few rare finds, but yeeesh ... I level so quick I can't keep money in my hands for more than a day. Thanks in advance for any advice!Juul

It depends on what you want for stats from your gear. Dragon's Breath armour is the rare cloth, and you have the ingredients listed correctly. If you're posting in the Fury forum, even though you didn't specifically state your class, I'd guess you're a Fury-- so you may be wanting one of the rare leather sets.Pristine Tailored Woven Dragonhide has +20 sta +20 wis +70 health +70 power +201 vs cold +134 vs divine +201 vs heat +201 vs magic +201 vs mental on each piece, with mitigation that I believe varies by piece.Pristine Tailored Dragonhide is more melee based with +18 agi +18 str +18 sta +50 health +50 power +1 crushing +1 piercing +1 slashing as it's stats, so it's unlikely you'd want this one.Pristine Tailored Dragon's Breath is +18 int +18 sta +18 wis +50 health +50 power +1 focus +1 ordination +1 disruption +1 ministration, which are very nice stats- especially the wis and int combo (woven dragonhide is sadly lacking int), but you really lose an awful lot of mitigation.I don't know if I'd go and buy a full set of any of it, as the stats are uniform across all the pieces of any given set. I think overall you can do better by mixing and matching pieces from different sets, along with some dropped and quested gear. At 62, you can probably finish Blood of the Brood and get your class hat, for example. Or there are some very nice legendary arms that are often quite reasonable on the broker, I can't remember the name off hand.

I got some very sound advice from friends of mine who have Lv 70 Furies that hasn't failed me where armor is concerned.

For Helm, Shoulders, Hands, Feet, and Forearms I always go with the +WIS version of the rare armor, (Woven).

However, for the Chest and Leggings I go with the more melee oriented set. Why? STR & AGI really aren't as useful to us as more +WIS.

You're right young grasshopper... but...

SOE in their infinite wisdom <coughgagcough> decided to not allow the Woven chest and leg armor pieces to be imbued !!

I like having a damage proc and healing proc on those pieces... so I give up a little bit of WIS and power, (by power I mean that we gain power from WIS and thus less WIS = less power), for the extra proc damage and healing.

So, to sum up...

Chest and Legs get in the melee oriented version with proc imbues on them.

Helm, Shoulders, Forearms, Gloves, Boots get in the Woven version.

Just my 2 cp but it's worked for me quite nicely so far.

Good luck and take care.

Depends also on what you are doing with your play time. Soloing I would suggest the same as Daruma did. You can get all your Int from jewelery. Grouping you should not be getting hit so taking all the dragon breath armor is fine.Your friend being a tailor obviously should be able to make this stuff for you.
