Hey guys, 70 bruiser here trying to maximize his damage since we not tanks. Right now im 4-4-8 in Agi-Sta-Int. I was thinking about dropping Agi for wis line, but reading that wis line isnt worth the points. Also wondering, people talking about it agro'ing more and im thinking how much more? Also, that 8% with full points, that is subject to the same formula as our Mantis bolt? (example, 24% proc if the weapon is 3.0 delay)Is it true that crane will only hit 3 mobs? Is there a difference in range of crane over our normal AE like savage bruising? Thanks

I've hit at least 8 mobs with it before.

Seriously, somebody out there actually told you AGI line was better than WIS? I mean, without manic laughter? Really?
Make the jump.WIS/INT is by far the best line to take unless you are a fulltime raider, in which case there are arguments for AGI/INT.

well i took the plunge and repec'ed to 4-4-8 in Sta-Wis-Int. I hit 4 mobs my first test so i answered that myself. I also put on 6 peices of Wu armor to get the bonus, so im proc 2 different AE's at once. Still got some testing to do, but it seems on short fights this is a better spec and on long fights, agi would be the way to go since our damage is mainly our combat arts. Anyone know the range on our Savage bruising compared to the Wu armor proc and Crane twirl?

Personally I would have dropped stamina instead of agi. A lot of people dis agi, but faster reuse of knockout combo, savage bruising, self heal, and every other CA is pretty nice. Mantis bolt is in my opinion a piece of crap. I much prefer crane twirl since it's AE damage, which is where brawlers generally lack. Granted, it doesn't proc on combat arts, but I think the fact that it does more damage and is AE makes up for it. I think the previous poster thought you were asking if you should do pure Wis/int (up to crane flock and eagle shriek), not if you should drop agi while keeping STA. That is also a decent build, but since bruisers don't do that much damage with their autoattack (unless they have very good gear and very good haste/dps buffs) I think the 4/4/8 in agi, along with int and WIS is better than the crane flock, especially now that their group buff is to CA damage instead of DPS.
oh! you're talking about going 448x3 still?I have to admit, I've not tried it since they reduced the timer on Crane Flock.Um.. but yeah, I agree with EQ2Luv on this one. If you're going to go 448x3, then Agi/Wis/Int are probably your best bet.Whether you should go with any variation of 448x3 is another matter, but if you had to choose three lines, those would be the ones to choose.

i noticed in labs last night that my overall damage went up a tad...however, its a tad less when it comes to single long fights.Going to mess around with this and then prob try agi-wis-int. I have a friend who swears on finishing both wis and int as a spec. I might give this a try to later on. Thanks for the info guys, keep it coming, exactly what i need.

If you're doing for a dps build, 448 x 3 at least sounds reasonable... I mean, the 4th ability on each is defensive, and the 5th ability, aside from targeted FD on raids, isn't all that great either (discounting STR line)Even if Mantis bolt is poor damage, it's still a 24% proc chance for some damage, as opposed to points spend in defensive skills you don't intend to use, and Baton flurry is one more CA to get a KO bonus on.(either or, as I suppose the INT / WIS is the whole point.)
I am trying out the 4,4,8 and 7 agil and 4,4,8,8, and 1 int. So far I am really liking the fact that the reuse of the ca's are quicker and helps when a group of dps is killing mobs fairly quick. Just helps that once the next mob is up 70% of my ca's are refreshed and ready to go. I never thought that 1 to 2 secs would be that noticeable, but when the fights are tight it has been paying off. My self heal is now like every 79 secs instead of 90 secs. I know it doesn't sound like much but believe me it really pays especially in a solo situation.

The best way to see the 8 in AGI re-use is to spec to something different. All my AoEs, the heal, KO Combo - they c-r-a-w-l back without AGI. And now that the put Dev fist on a shorter timer, it's a regular part of my arsenal, as opposed to situational.

Redmouser

So which are we saying are best dps for 3 x 448 builds and for 2 column builds...and also which is the highest dps overall?
