eq2 has stopped working.....

<p>....Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.  Then EQ2 has stopped working. A problem causedthe program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is abailable..</p><p> I went out and got myself a new rig intell dual core <a href="mailto:[email protected]" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">[email protected]</a> 2046 mb ram 32 bit op system running vista.  When i go to install EQ2 I keep getting the same message. I have downloaded the launch pad off the website here and tried to DL the whole game which vista will let me do but it was taking for ever and just when i think im done there is still more to DL. Now the patcher wont work, DL's a eq2ime file then stops. So any ideas on how to get vista to install the game would be great. I have tried running as an administrator and have tried coping the discs to my desktop but still get the EQ2 has stopped working message. Thanks in advance to all those who reply.</p><p>Zeda</p>

first, verify that EQ2 is being downloaded tot he correct directory, and if it is, then delete the offending file completely and let the patcher redownload the full version instead of having the patcher constantly try and re-download the delta patch version that only patches the changes between the date on the file on your computer and the current one found on the servers.
