Just wanna share this small thing, I did yesterday with my bruiser and wondered if others had been so lucky also

I've got a lvl70 bruiser, that r working on the HQ "A Thorn of Old" and i dont have that great gear on him, only a few fabled items and some rewards from the claymore line...His avoid is about 65%, health about 7,4k...

As part of the quest i had been fd'ing my way down to the Ancient Forge in SotS with only a few fd's on the way, craft the wyrmslayer and then hed back...I had gotten the part in PoA the same way - a grp pulled the mobs around it, so i could get my update...

The next update was in HoF and for fun I wanted to see how far I could get in there with my bruiser and with fd......The update was in the carnipillar room...

With some deaths due to stuns so i couldnt trigger the fd, i finally managed to get down to the update area only to find, that a lvl69+++ magetype mob was standing so close to it that I couldnt get my update without getting aggro...So I pulled the mob, used Close Mind and Stone Deaf and timed my use of our stun attack and with a high degree of luck I could kill the mob using Devastation Fist with only 10% health left )))

Was an awesome experience - just love the small tricks we can do with our bruisers though i have some troubles killing nameds compared to my main, lvl70 sk, but maybe that will be way better as I get geared better )

Not bragging, just wanted to shear a fun experience - couldnt have pulled that one with any of my other chars )

I will tell you, from years of playing a bruiser, that if there is one aspect of being a bruiser that tends to stand out above all others, it is our survivability in nearly every scenario.

Self Heal, Stone Deaf, Close Mind, Feign Death... Were like Steven Seagall, Hard to Kill.

Feign Death is a class defining ability - like Ranger's Track in old EQ, it's the one ability I really, really, really wanted when I was playing (wasn't a monk back then.) Once I got here and tried the various classes, I kept coming back to Bruiser, in large part of the many, many ways it (Feign Death) kept being useful, both solo and in group play. The time we were deep down in Fallen Gate and I feigned and rezzed the healer, saving us a l-o-n-g haul back down, meanwhile holding off a skeleton while the rest of the group was still to rez-weak to help much.... yah, it felt good to be a Bruiser that day!

And it still does

Now you just need to be able to run to the forge while FDing only once, at the forge!

Have done that - running to the forge with fd'ing only at the forge Its way fun to run all the way in a few mins, without using fd, self heal or stone deaf

I usually help guildies doing claymore in sots - riddle and trading info - train to the bottom, so they save the fight on the way - pretty fun
