Hi, hope this is an appropriate forum for my question. I was having success making money farming blood iron ore in the mines in Zek. However now a lot of the mobs are grey to me, and the drop rate seems to have went down. Can someone recommend me something similar to farm, and the location? I'm a level 44 Swashbuckler. Thanks.

You mean something like a drop that makes special armor? Sorry, the next one is a raid drop from Wuoshi in Emerald Halls.

I don't think blood iron ore is dropped anywhere else.

It also drops in the mine under DFC and in DFC itself

Making a tidy plat or 2 selling Adept GI's for apperance

Deathfist Citadel is another source of the stuff, I've had good luck getting it from the miners in the basement (through the sewer entrances) but it seems to drop off of all mobs on all floors. It's an instance and there's a lock-out timer once you kill a named.

I tried getting to the miners at DC, but how do you get there without getting detected? I was stealthed and was getting shot by arrows. I then died and wound up in the sewers, but then there was a green con ^^^ with a lot of adds that I couldn't soloSince I made the thread I've gotten 4 pieces from the Zek mines. Kinda bored staying in the same spot though.

You have to take out the archers, basically, before you go into the courtyard, if you don't want to be a pincushion. That having been said, I've been through DFC twice, top to bottom, with hubby mentored down to my little warden so everything was blue or green, and cleared all but 2-3 mobs each time. We got *one* blood iron ore each time. Lots of recipe books, adepts, things to transmute. One single ore each time. {gibber} If I wasn't such a fashion slave, I'd just give up on the look for one of my alts and/or pay the 70g+ per ore that it is going for on my server.

The hubby & I have gone through it over 14 times, since revamp. Have gotten on average 1 ore per run.

It is good for Xmuting, though. Shame We can't Trasnsmute those Flaming Arrows, I would have been maxed out on Transmuting .. LOL ..

The archers can be avoided if you are careful. They need Line of Sight to zap you.

----

To the OP .. seriously .. move on if you are bored. If you really want the more money from the same spot, make an alt and level them up to that level and level lock them. That way you can price gouge your server till your eyes bleed.

Stabbath wrote:
I tried getting to the miners at DC, but how do you get there without getting detected?
Easiest way is to not go through the courtyard. Jump down in the moat around DFC and swim around to the north or west side. There's grates there, the sewer entrances, that lead to the tunnels in the basement.
