somethings up with patcher!!

<p>Hey guys n gals, </p><p>Kk, so I brought a guy over to EQ 2, he bought his EoF expansion retail yesterday and installed EQ2, ever since last evening he's been patching.  Today at around 5PM EST. it told him he had, 05:30:00 left.  Now , at 6:30 PM est, its telling him 10:75:30 left. I thought it was a patcher lock-up where the patcher got stuck on a file. SO i had him cancel and then click Update button.  NOW it tells him 500 hours left! He is on the phone with me going, [I cannot control my vocabulary]!?!?!?! pardon my language. But we've been trying hard to get him on and now that we finally are able to , he is unable to because of a patcher issue??  </p><p>His System is: Dell</p><p>Processor 3.22ghz, and 3.0ghz </p><p>RAM: 512mb</p><p>Graphics Card:ATI RADEON x1200 128mb</p><p>Help!!</p>

 It's only about 400 hours if he's on dialup, hope he's not on dialup <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. The patcher has been known to be incorrect with times but not by days like that.  Is there anyway you can copy your eq2 folder on to his computer?

To be honest, ignore what the patcher says when you first fire up the game. There's a LOT of new stuff they've added to the game to download. Turn it on before you go to bed, out to dinner, movies, or whatever, and just let it do it's thing. It WILL take a long time, it WONT take as long as it estimates most of the time.
