I read that Fury solo very well, so i started one.  I'm now level 10 and i'm having a hard time soloing a same level mob.  It takes me forever to kill anything, i need to heal myself 2-3 times just to kill 1 single mob the same level as me.  My damage is pathetic.  So i'd like to know when it's getting better ?

That sounds like a real toil! <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/2786c5c8e1a8be796fb2f726cca5a0fe.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p><img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Shouldn't be that hard, even at level 10.  Stack DoTs while using them to trigger HO damage.  Things should drop relativly easy.  Once you get a HoT like regrowth at 12 or 14, i forget when you get it, you just fire it off if you get below 50% HP and then keep firing DoTs as they wear off.And yeah, priests arent exactly DPS machines right out of the gate.  They are support first and formost, so thier damage doesnt take off till mid 20s.

At that level I just turned off combat xp and leveled from questing.  Four or five hours later I was level 17 or 18 with a dozen AA points at which time I turned combat xp back on.  Total game time from level 10 to 25:  about 10 hours.  Things get a lot easier after you get the first regen spell and again when you get the nuke at 23.

<p>Once you get over the lvl 25 hump Fury's tend to do much better. Have patience, just be glad it isn't 3 yrs ago when lvling was really slow and fury's had a hard time unless grping.</p>

To be honest, I'm not sure what the problem is.  While it does get much easier after level 23, just the two DoTs are more than enough for a Fury to solo well.  Using your heals is part of the class. My suggestion is to upgrade your spells to get the most bang for your buck and to ALWAYS use your heroic opportunity.  Remember your root spell as well.

<p>well first of this game is not designed to be played solo... so no class is meant to solo all the stuff perfectly... </p><p>yes there are classes that solo better over others... </p><p>if you want to have a healer that solo WHEN needed, or when you feel like soloing, furies is possibly the best option as a healer type... but you need to be patient... because until you reach some point all classes are similar... like a berserker is like any other warrior to some point... but when you reach higher levels it distinguishes from others by his unique abilities...</p><p>same goes with furies... to some point they are as good as any other healer about soloing... or maybe just a tad bit better... but as you go high up in levels, with the right setup and gear... you ll shine over others about soloing... </p><p>"grumpy"</p>

<p>I'm currenly levelling my fury (still early days only 23 but 18 AA points) but I've not found it difficult at all, and I haven't used any gear other than quested and no upgrades to any of my spells yet (im out growing them too quickly!)</p><p>As i've been often out exploring and crafting i've been taking it easy but I haven't struggled with mobs, even yellow one arrow up ones at all.</p><p>I also killed a green con 3 arrow up heroic when i found one not so long ago as well in greater faydark.</p><p>Wasn't even a long fight <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>The only hardship ive found so far was from level 17-22 there was no 'hub quest' progression like there had been at neriak. I was just a bit stuck and so went exploring - which was nice and quick and i can get around places really quick with peerless predator and the spirit of the wolf on me. It's like driving a sports car around that can jump off high objects and glide for miles.</p><p>My friend's also been levelling but a little slower, he's an SK but he's hit the odd problem here n there with mobs and dying even though we found him a master chest fairly early on.</p><p>The regen's / roots (as long as you spend a while getting subjugation up) help survivability no end.   </p>

<p>Like everyone else said, it gets better after lvl 23 when you get your first nuke. Soloing with a fury is fun and rewarding. Between lvls 40-45, I soloed Varsoon every chance I got. Sometimes I wish I locked my fury at that lvl just for that purpose, but I like playing her too much and wanted to see end game with her. Just remember to root, nuke, then heal if needed, rinse and repeat. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Anything that can be rooted can also be killed, this is more true as you gain levels.Switching between vortex and animal form for longer fights can be tricky and sometimes dangerous, but there lies the fun.Varsoon? I could solo Varsoon very easily, the whole dungeon including the boss himself around lvl 40 if I recall correctly. Maybe doable even earlier, but only with a lot of power available. I tend to do quick kills rather than prolonging fights, so vortex up and using the AE even vs a single target, that makes for some power intensive nuking.

I wouldn't even attempt to solo the Varsoon encounter on my necro (he's level 40)... I'd get my [Removed for Content] handed to me long before I even got through the first few waves of mobs... O_o   Root doesn't seem to be overly useful in this game; too short duration and too easily broken.
