ever since I got fusion, I have been dissapointed in its functionallity. If mobs are hitting me, fusion says "no targets in range". I have to root them and take 2 steps away from them for fusion to hit. if I take 3 steps away it is out of range again. I assumed that this is just the way it is, until last night when I got into a discussion with a barbarian wizzy that said his fusion works on mobs that are hitting him and if he takes 2 steps away they are out of range. Is the barbarian wizzy full of poo, or am i plagued with a bug? If it is a bug, could it be related to my smaller size since I am a gnome.

I will experiment with this.

thank you

you'll have to move (fast to not loose DPS), trying to have 2 or 3 mobs more or less in same axis, and not being far from closest one. As you see this needs soem training, but it is worth it.
You might want to put some points in the Wiz AA enhance fusion (Cold Line)..Changes it from a 5 meter 60 degree cone by one meter and one degree per point up to a max 10 meter 65 degree cone..and.. helps you with resists..IMO awesome increase in functionality.. The horizontal plane area of coverage is increased by a factor of over 4...With it my wiz doesn't have to get right on top of the mob..rarely hits less than 3 mobs..and rarely gets a fusion resist..

On my berzerker the technique I use to line up a semi-circle of mobs so they will all be hit by a frontal cone AE is to AE stun (AE root would work too) then strafe (Q key) while using the mouse to turn slightly. This moves you in a crescent around the flank of the mobs and more or less lines them all up in front of you.
