I found a macro for Guardians to generate max DPS. Does anyone have one setup for Pallys?

Guardian macro :

: ; usea Obliterate ; usea Confront ; usea Sever ; usea Merciless Charge ; usea Vindictive Strike: ; usea Flay ; usea Protection ; usea Retaliation Strike ; usea Precise Strike ; usea Compression: ; usea Overpower ; usea Buffet ; usea Staggering Blow: ; usea Goading Assault ; usea Executioner's Wrath ; usea Master's Rage: ; usea Fighting Chance ; usea Lay Waste

The order is what's important. The macro will execute the first command available when you mash the macro key.

macro keys don't work all that well for a pali dps, spells + melee = effort

since you can be interupted your best dpsing pali will have to play it by ear

Why? Can't a guardian be interrupted? What a macro key does is guarentee that something other than auto attack is happening and that must convert to more DPS. At least as I see it!

(But note that I am asking about this and would love a discussion from many pallys to see what is the majority opinion.)

A macro is good if you are grinding mindlessly aka trash.Recently i made myself a macro with all my single target combat arts + spells (makign sure the last 2 where combat arts, no spells, els you might get cued spells when done fighting , if you have a mob targeted then, it might pull it with the cued spell you got. It's nice on trash, but on nameds or something like that, or when i need to tank, i go back to clicking eatch combat/spell separetlyif you combine spells + combat arts in one macro, well, if you move, you still have the combat arts going off, no matter if there are spells in it. But ...It's nice to have on straight forward fights standing still, but when it's a named fight or something like that, it's better to not use any sutch macro.

this pally's opinion is it is a waste of space on my otherwise overfilled hotbars.

No, a Guardian CAN'T be interrupted. Their moves consist entirely of Combat Arts, which are generic scout/tank melee based with the exceptions of bards and crusaders, and cannot be interrupted through movement or being attacked. Ours mostly consist of spells, which can be interrupted by both of those.

Macro fighting is dumb, you lose alot of DPS just by screwing up your auto attack. I'd love to see your RL's face when you're all like, "Hey, check out this awesome tanking macro I just made!" Get real.

We're probably about 50/50 interruptible/non-interruptible. Heals and wards are all interruptible spells except Touches, but aren't used very much compared to other abilities. All but one of our AEs is interruptible. None of our taunts are interruptible (but can't be used during stun). Most of our single target stuff is non-interruptible.
