New Coercer here.. Quick question here. If I come across a group of three.. say one named and his two goons, and I charm one and sic him on the named mob to keep him busy and he dies.. When the fight is over do I receive the same amount of experience as I would if I personally killed all three?

Thanks

when fighting an encounter, you gain a small amount of exp for each mob killed, then an amount of bonus for killing them all. i believe you would still get the experience for the mobs you did kill, but if one dies while charmed, it is considered your pet and you get no exp for his dying. your best bet to ensure you get exp for all mobs is to charm one, sick it on second and mez 3rd, then when charmed mobs health is low, pull it back, mez second, break charm kill and repeat for other 2 mobs.

...in the same vein...I've noticed that when my charmed pet is killed by a mob, it may occasionally drop a chest. Handy, that; but I wondered if there's any amount of xp that goes along with that kill, or if xp is ONLY counted as long as you dismiss the pet before he bites it. I never think to stop & check numbers before they die...
