<p>Possible Spoiler alert, not sure >.></p><p>Edit: Ok thanks for clearing that up for me.</p><p>Ok, I heard somthing about in the early days of EQ2 you were picked up by a boat, and following a small sequence of sorts you arrive at the Isle of refuge, and before than some dragon erased your memory and dropped u into the ocean only to pick you up disguised as a Captain only for you to later kill him.</p><p>Err what the heck is this all about???</p><p>Thank you.</p>

They revamped the newbie experience and created the current two islands from the old one island.</p><p>Anyways, originally you started out on a ship (the Far Journey) that had just picked you up in the middle of the ocean. You kill a rat and find a Dwarf's hat before a Drakota (it's like a big Drake, I'm not really sure if SOE considers there to be a difference anymore... they've been messing with that whole thing) attacks the ship. At that point you arrive at the Isle of Refuge and resume your newbie experience.</p><p><b>Much later</b>, in the original Prismatic quest line, you discover that the captain of the Far Journey was in fact the Dragon Darathar in disguise. He saved you because he felt you might turn out to be useful to him later on... and you were, before you discovered that he had been using you and you decided to kill him.</p>
