Few questions from a returning player

So I've been away from the game for quite some time, left a bit after EoF came out I think.  I never played a whole lot but managed to get a bruiser to level 30.  Now that I'm back it seems I've forgotten so much that I decided to just start a new character.  I made an Iksar Bruiser, and I've got a couple questions.  Do Iksar look ok in higher level gear, and do you generally enjoy playing as one?  And is it possible to grind most of the way using just my fists?

<p>Aesthetics being what they are ... <shrug></p><p>Fists are viable, as long as you have plunked down enough AAs for the double attack in the STR line.  You can start collecting AAs at level 10, so by 20 you should be at 4-4-8 in STR to do that.  Then around 50 or 60, if you can get some good weapons and adorn them, you can do more with weapons.  Respec to AGI-INT, or WIS-INT, or STA-WIS, however your play style goes.  Some do just the first three, like AGI-INT-WIS, 4-4-8.  Legendary weapons are enough, some even argue Mastercrafted or better.</p>
