I've been reading the templar board with the idea or rolling a holy melee character and, granted it's not everyone, some templars are avaible to solo in mistmoore castle. On the paladin board, it seems that paladin struggle to solo 68+ heroics ^^^. So is it the situation now ? Or i'm totally wrong ?

Thanks for your toughs

I couldn't imagine a templar soloing MMC

The first room has solo mobs protecting some collectible harvest points. So, anyone can solo in castle mistmoore, in a sense.

CMM and MMC are different places... Paladins can solo through Mistmore Catacombs fairly easily. No class can/should solo through CMM until the level cap raises... period.

Now an exceptional player behind the keyboard of any class might make the impossible possible but that has nothing to do with the class and everything to do with the player.

Clerics are intresting with 100% Melee crits and I, personally, think maxing severe judgement is a bit too low in the AA chain giving them an advantage with less AAs. Coupled with all of the undead based damage that can be AAed, clerics can drop some nice pain with the right weapon and haste. I think that maybe some sort of healing penalty may need to be enforced on a DPS twink to make it a little less standard of clerics nowadays and think that the soloability of an uber templar may be a bit better but... they have to be uber. If you have a hundred AAs in EoF fabled gear on a Paladin and a Templar you've got 2x badmofos. Grab some popcorn an pull up a chair for a long duel... my money is on the Paladin but unless the Paladin can chain interrupt and stun the templar long enough to tear that hp up (templars can AA spec to get past the interrupt hell a Paladin can bring), the one with the most power clickies will win.

I have a 70pally and 70templar and think that sounds like rubbish.

Paladins are tanks. Paladin>Templar as a tank... period.

I know a guy who solo's Nizara and CMM on his Coercer. He dies a lot, naturally~ but if you can charm a pet to be your tank and keep everything else mezzed, I guess it's do-able. /shrug

I bet they have the highest death ratio among players that are trying to stay alive as they are always one broken charm away from disaster. hehehehe They probably cause the most nonPvP player deaths as well with those broken charms running rampid all over other players. ROFL

Oh and since it was brought up... pet classes PWN both Paladins and Templars in the solo arena (if you consider a petclass "solo")... but again, I would not consider any petclass a better Paladin than a Paladin. I'd put money on a good Paladin tanking better, and with a lot less risk, than the Coercer.
