non-shared loot

<p>What does non-shared loot mean? i hear people talking about non-shared loot off avatars but since i never killed an avatar I'm in the dark on this. Or perhaps I'm trying to analyze it this further than what the name suggests it means</p>

Some, but not most, mobs have shared loot tables.  For the example you gave...  Something like 60% or so of the loot tables of the Avatars are 'shared loot.'  Items you can get off of any one of them.  The other 40% is 'non-shared loot.'  Loot that is exclusive to that particular mob.
