It's been a while since this has happened to me, but I'll just be typing along (usually quickly) and suddenly Windoze will go into the system shutdown sequence. No confirmation dialog box, just straight to the 'Windows is shutting down' screen, and then power-off. It's happened to me on both boxes that I play EQ2 on, and it doesn't happen at any other time, with any other application. I suspect that there's a colon involved in the command sequence, as I think it most often happens when there's a smiley in the line I'm typing when it does the shutoff.Anyone have any clues on where to go with this? The box doesn't crash - it goes to a clean shutdown, just like you'd gone to the Start menu, chosen Turn Off Computer, and clicked Turn Off. I'm pretty sure it's not the Windows key, as I have that disabled in the EQ2 options on both machines, and on one box I have pried off the Windows keycap. I've yet to find any information from Microsoft or the Web about a key sequence that will take you straight to power-off without the usual confirmation dialog, though. Thanks!
