Just came back to EQ need armor advice?

 I just came back after 2 years and started a SK. I'm only level 13 at the moment but I'm still wearing the gear I got off the Island! Should I be questing for gear or trying to buy some at my level? I have little money at the moment but I have another character that has 1 gold on him that I was gonna give to my SK. If I need to quest for the gear at my level what are some good quests that will give me better armor and weapons. Thanks alot i'm a total noob at this point since I did'nt play much at release.

use whatever armor you may loot that is good, and if you find a bargin on the broker, buy it, dont bother to much in it till lvl 20, at lvl 20 do teh armor quest, then at lvl 30 buy the fay iron armor (non mastercrafted) and start gathering ebon clusters, when you ding 42, get some one to craft you the armor from the clusters you gathered, adn after that is M crafter armor or better, you dont affort to wear worse
