I am currently using 800mhz DDr ram 5-5-5-12 (2 gig) with windows VISTA 32bit. I found a good deal to upgrade the exact ram to 4 gig. I usually only play eq2 however I usually am playing the LON card game, and talking on vent and surfing etc sometimes in the background.I play on extreme settings with shadows off, and never turn it down unless i am raiding. I am wondering if I am wasting my money by upgrading, will i notice any difference in eq2 at all by doing this? Im been reading the computer will only recognize 3 or 3.5 gig etc. I still have time to cancel.

Im also thinking that for future gaming this might be a smart idea to updrage. I mean 2 gigs several years ago was way too much now its practically standard

See how your motherboard handles it

With 4gb (or 3) your pc can give a whole 2gb to EQ2 instead of 2gb minus 200-300 for your background processes.
