<p>everquest2.exe</p><p>Scans files normally, gets to 100%, says "update complete"</p><p>Large button says: UPDATING (in gray, cannot click it), NOT Login.</p><p>Any ideas as to why it's doing this or more importantly how I can fix it? Just to let you know, I started with the free 7 day fae trial which worked fine. I downloaded the core game and the fae expansion.</p>
/scratches [Removed for Content]Have you tried the full files scan option or the Tech Forum?

<p>This problem is normally causes by one or more of the following things:</p><ul><li>You're running on Vista (if so, you need to run EQ2 as an admin - right-click the EQ2 icon, select properties and its an option in there somewhere)</li><li>Firewall</li><li>Antivirus software</li></ul><p>Basically something is blocking your download.</p>

Hey thanks, I should have mentioned that I'm on Vista. I'm at work now, so I'll have to wait until tonight to try that out, but it seems to be pretty plausible. Thank you!I have to say, the players of EQ2 have really changed since release. Long ago it was a mixed crowd of the players who are here now, and the impatient and sometimes immature players. It seems like the community has changed for the better, as the less friendly/mature/helpful players have made an exodus towards WoW, where they most certainly are today.

<p>I've also been having trouble logging in for the last hour or so. I was on earlier (about 3 hours ago), but can't get back in now.</p><p>When I first had the problem and came to these forums to check if anyone else is having problems, I couldn't log in to the forums either. I'm guessing that there may be problems with the login servers.</p>
