Possible to install and play via external hard drive?

<p>I was curious if it is possible to install EQ2 onto a USB2.0 connected external hard drive and play on a computer?IE if I wanted to play on a friend's computer but don't want to eat up gigs and gigs of his hard drive space?</p><p>Would it screw around with his registry if the hard drive is disconnected? Just not sure how it would work, don't even have an external HD yet.</p>

Would it work,  sure since there are no registry settings to EQ2 it should work without issue.  However usb hard drives are incredibly SLOW and loading times between zones would be well in the minutes timeframe.  USB really isn't a good way to go for that,  now if his PC had a external SATA connection and you had a external SATA drive you could play pretty decently.
