Per Tick?

My regen buff says it heal 73 points of in combat health per tick.I cant seem to time it correctly, so I was wondering if anyone knew how long a combat tick was?  I am comparing it to the warden spores.  Theirs seem to heal more, but has to proc.  It seems that is a combat tick is about 3 seconds, our buff is better since it works on the whole group.Sound about right?
