I need help with my chat settings. might be my UI interface.

When I log onto one of my characters, I am unable to chat with them. I can't talk and or use commands at all. When I hit {enter} or {/}, I get this little chat bubble in the bottem of my chat windows for a second then it goes away. It wont respond to tells and if i hit any other key it opens some other window( like spellbook). Any ideas?

<p>which ui are you using?</p><p> i know with profit ui, when i make a new toon and set up everything on it in the ui, i ALWAYS have this problem. i do not know about other interfaces, as this is the only ui i use besides default when profit is broken temporarily from a patch.</p><p>how i fix it is this. right click the chat window, and choose window settings. from there, look for the drop down in the window. should only be one if i remember correctly. switch it from whatever it is currently to frame only. and click accept/apply, whatever and after that window closes, right click the chat window again and select window settings again. choose none instead of frame only from the same drop down menu, and you should have chat enabled again.</p>
