I just recently got back to playing Eq2 after being gone some months. I've been really aching to play a naturey class and I think warden would be great for that. My playstyle tends to love grouping, but I also like soloing a whole lot to get AAs and at late nights when there aren't teams. Also I've noticed as my inquisitor 1-20 and 30-40 seems to be heavily reliant on soloing due to lack of teams at 1-20 and steamfont at 30-40 Is that very feasable as a warden?

Also does the huge amount of furies out there seem to hurt the grouping prospects of wardens at all?

Thanks a bunch in advance

I'm not really concerned at being the best at anything really. I'm just curious if it is possible to be a group friendly druid but also be able to solo when necessary... and fun efficient solo, not the boring slow templar like soloing

For grouping, any of the healers are fine. For soloing, I would have recommended a warden perhaps 2 years ago, but now other healing classes do more damage with the right AA setup , which is better for soloing. Take a look at fury or inquisitor, you might like them.

Most of the healers can solo fast now with right AA set up.

I think wardens are among the best for solo/group play for their friendly travel utility, evacs, etc. Fury same, just substitute group invis for evac.

Mystics are great solo too.

Templars/defilers used to suck but there's new AA specs now where they can put out great damage so I imagine they can be quite good.

I have an inquis and I love to solo with him but travel is a PIA until I can get a carpet or something. Unless you are rich/in high lvl guild and can buy a fast mount.

So to me warden is still best for solo/group play. Great healing, good DPS, lots of good solo/group utility that makes things easier.

Now if you plan to raid go look at some of the other theads on this page. Many of us in lvl 70 are not exactly thrilled with warden's lack of raid utility.

well, tbh... any healer classes seem very good atm. even too good at times, in solo play that is. But this is just my opinion of course. Im not saying that healers should not be able to do dmg also. But eg. melee warden/mystic/inq are very nice if you like melee type classes (like i do).

Of course they need the AA to get em efficient and right gear etc. Also your playstyle affects if you liek em or not. But like Fromingo already pointed out: evac, ports, decent dmg and great heals = top notch soloers, ie. warden

++Xan

Thanks a bunch for the replies all IT sounds like fun I'm going to give it a shot. I already have a 50 inquisitor battle cleric who I still enjoy but I've been looking for a change and I think warden might be it

docpaulpur wrote:

Ninnihoot@Antonia Bayle wrote:
I'm not really concerned at being the best at anything really. Last time I played a templar to 40 it was really really bad when alone. Glad things are better for them now
