Hello, I just came back to EQ2 after about a year break. We have a guild that cannot seem to get on the list of recruiting guilds on the Oasis server.I hit U on the keyboard to bring up our guild screen, go to the recruiting area and edit what I want it to say, I click on the bottom left corner to check mark as recruiting. When I click the icon that is next to the checkmark we do not show up on the list. Its been about 2 weeks now. Can someone tell me if I am missing something? I would appreciate it. We badly need recruits as a lvl 51 guild with 3 members LOLThanks again,

Hmm, since there's a limit to how many guilds show up on the guild recruitment window (not sure of the number -- 40 I think?) it might be that there are more than 40 recruiting guilds with recruiters currently online, which bumps your guild off the list. Also, I've heard mention from time to time in the guild recruitment threads on the various server forums that size might factor in there too: some of the smaller guilds were complaining that the forum recruitment thread was the only way (outside of sending messages to channels) that they could promote the guild because they were never able to get on the guild recruitment window due to the other larger guilds.

Thanks for the reply, Yeah it looks like there are only probably 15-20 showing up on the list if even that. Its not many at all when I scroll through them.Is it because we are so small with 3 members that we cannot recruit? I thought the purpose was if we dont have any members it would give us a good avenue to recruit.Well its still unresolved as far as I know, It just doesnt show up at all. Thanks for your help though.

The limit is either 20 or 40, not sure. I had read somewhere they'd increased the number, but I hadn't really counted. From my own thoughts, I seriously don't think the guild size matters in the way that some people are claiming (i.e., that there's an inherent bias to the system with regards to size, automatically listing the bigger guilds just because they are bigger). I think the reason it seems that larger guilds always get on the list and the smaller guilds don't seem to make it on is this: the more people you have, the more recruiters you'd have online at any one time. If I have a guild of 50 people, there's a high possibility that someone from my guild would be on -- higher than the possibility that one of your 3 guild members would be on -- and also a higher possibility that there would be a continuous stream of people online. Therefore, if there was space on the list a couple hours ago, chances are someone from my guild would be online so we'd 'grab' that spot. This leaves you out of luck, and the fact that I have more people ensures that my guild keeps the spot until no recruiter is online anymore ... which means you wouldn't get a spot until then, or until some other guild has all its recruiters offline. Hope that made sense. With that said, maybe it is a weird technical glitch, hehe, and I'm just spouting off stuff. *grin*

Yes I see your point as far as how many recruiters are online at a given time. I suppose we can do it the old fashion way and just send it out on chat or just find players that are not guilded and see if they would be interested after grouping together.Too bad they do not have categories of guilds that can be shown at guilds with 1-25, 25-75, 75-150, 150+ members just as an example. You can tab for each category to see which guild falls in which area that your interested in.Maybe there are some out there that want to start small but dont know that the little ones exist.Well thanks for the response.Mandalay

After having tried to get the guild to show up on the list for a few days I have noticed some things. Some guilds are always on the list which would go into to theory spoken of earlier that if your recruiters are on all the time your guild will always be listed. 10 guilds have been on the list every time I am on. Only the large guilds are on after doing a "who" of each guild. My guild has myself and my wife in it and we were trying to build up the guild for players that would like to help build a guild from the early guild levels. After having sent tells to numerous guilds that have shown up on the list all the guilds I spoke to were at least level 20 with most always being 60. Any clarification on how a guild shows up on the list would be great!
