Good morning my brothers brawlers! I am trying to find out which are the best 2 weapon that a monk can use for max dps and why. I have so many of them and I can't tell which one is my best combo weapon.<b></b>

As with Bruisers, can Monk's go down the Str line and fight bare fisted for good dps results?

How about if you don't have EoF weapon what is the next best 2 such as KoS weapons. Ok let me do it this way, this is the weapon that I have Bonetooth Skewer, Fists of Pain, Marr's Fist, The Twin Calamities,The Wurmslayer and Fists of Bashing. From all this weapons which ones do you think is the best 2 for max dps?

I'd like to know this as well, but mainly the more easy obtainable weapons.I've the Soulfire weapon, does it matter in which hand it is equipped? Also, with which weapon would you combine it? Fist of Marr? A Twin Calamity? Fists of Bashing? (I don't have Razor Gauntlets or Fists of Pain).

<p>As for your weapons Darkskador, The first Calamite (one with higher rating) and either its partner or Marr's Fist</p><p>As for Deathspell mixing delays is a bad idea, so the Kama with with the Fists of Bashing which is 2.5 IIRC.</p>

<p><b>Xanrn</b> thank very much for your input, unfortunally I have the lower rate (Calamite) one so what is my next choice?.</p>

<p>Even fabled weapons are doing less damage then being bare fisted and in the STR line. Not just a little bit less either. I have been playing around with quite a few different AA setups the last 6 weeks or so, and bare fisted has been netting me about 25-30% more DPS than a fabled and legendary level 70 weapons. </p>

<p>Fist of Marr in your main hand and the calamite in off then.</p><p>Adorn the Calamite aswell.</p>

I am on Venekor PvP. I have both Twin Calamities, higher dps rating in main hand. Higher dps rating has a Vampric Adorn (drain health) and secondary has a Phantom Adorn (drain mana). With a dirge in my group I can always hit 1500 dps and if I have agitate I can hit 1900 dps. Isn't the highest in the world, but not bad for twins. I haven't done str line in a very long time, I'll have to retest it in the near future to see if it can top that. Doubtfull

<p>Am leveling up a monk now (level 30, 34 aas so far -- I already have a swash and pally at 70). Am trying to figure out whether I should put in the time before ROK. I am very interested in 2 qs:</p><p>1. If the poster above is correct that STR is actually a viable end game strategy after gu 38, I'd be extremely interested in that. I'm using STR now at low level -- the final ability there is very good for nameds. Does anyone have recent parse tests on that for a level 70?</p><p>2. Have the two handed options improved in dps any for end-game? For example, does the Unrest Bo (Blood Drenched?) compare in dps with dual wielding now that there are greater DW delays???? Any data on that? Thanks.</p>

Outside of the STR line in labs I have been parsing on average (depending on how far into the zone we are) about 450-800. With the str line it has been more along the lines of 600-1100 (closer to 750-1200 in fights with chi up).</p>

I'm noticing a higher parse with fists than with weapons, of course I don't have anything uber to test against, but it would have to be pretty uber to beat it honestly. I'd venture to say that the full STR line is the way to go for the 90% of monks who can't get some really nice 70 fabled weapons.

the bare fists comparsion includes adornments?with two bashing fists equiped (e.g. marr's/fist of bashing) I recieve atotal +15 crushing bonus which is a huge improvement for the dps.my calamities are +piercing adorned and I use the Fizpizle Boots + a Glass Shard CollectionWrist Item for additional +piercing skill.since bare hand used to be always one hand fighting (not DW) it never really changed imho.however, bare fists might become interesting once again for leveling up to 80 since thedamage rating scales with every level and it might take some time till we get our lvl80 Kunarkfableds to beat the fists.cheers,Nok

<cite>Nokrahs wrote:</cite><blockquote>the bare fists comparsion includes adornments?</blockquote>Not using rare adornments, no. Just the basic level 60 molten/viral ones. So I couldn't say how much damage I am missing out on for adornments.

To the person asking about 2h. They have always been viable. I just returned to the game but with grizzle fazzle staff I would avg 1500-2k dps per pull pre patch with agitate. They said in patch they improved the dps of 2h's so they absolutly should be viable. This is with qeynos classes only also. So no brigand debuffs etc. The one time I was put with a berserker they had to switch him back otu cause I couldnt not peel. Was avging 2000-2400 dps with just auto attack and using combination / flailing cetipede. I just returned to the game so I havnt tried it out but if I can reach those numbers with just grizzlefazzles staff then I am sure 2h's are more than capable. Agitate is the trick though. ALOT of monk dps is based on auto attack so getting your dps rating up is important. My fury I 2 boxxed had improved agitate aa's so it was constantly up. However a monk with same aa's and pretty much same gear just less adornments. Wasnt able to reach the same numbers on raids. I dont know if he was getting agitate much though the fury he would be grouped with usually gave it to people with less benefit so not sure if he ever got to try it on same grounds.
