I can't see particle effects on the new rares

on either of my accounts.  My particle effects are turned on.  I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT.  Any ideas? Thanks

I don't believe that they added "particle effects" to the rares but rather new icons for them so that they stand out in your inventory better. These new icons have "particle" like images so that they appear to have sparkles on them.

yes, he is right, i have seen the new icons, and rares look "sparkly" in inventory, but there is NO animated particle effect associated with them, either in inventory OR as a crafted finished product.

Thanks for the replies.  It's interesting since several of my guildies complained of the particle effects and one had to put his rares in the bank because it was too annoying to open his bags... wonder what that's about?

It sounds like they just don't know what a particle effect is <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />Most harvests have new icons as of the last update, but that's the only difference.  Sounds like they preferred the old ones.
