Now that we have appearance slots and could actually USE them, how about tailored costumes.... especially for Halloween? =)

Some costumes I'd love to see...

Pirate, Swashbuckler, Tunic look, Toga, Viking, Ninja, Samauri, evil wizard, good wizard, etc.

Things like pirate boots, tunics (short and long sleeve), and helms would be really nice to see.

I've /feedbacked something along these lines.

I figure, after the skeletal revamp is done and the creation of new armours/clothing is not the massive effort it currently is, then that'd be a prime time to see an injection of new options to dress up out characters.

It's just, over the last few days I think I've ctrl+clicked on nigh on every item on the broker (I should get out more, I know). But in doing that the game screams some love given to it in regards to some new options. It's all so repetitive, we all know that, but after ctrl+clicking that many items recently the point is really driven home how few options there are - and is debatable what few there are aren't really catching a lot of people in the subjective view of their appeal.

What I've suggested is some themed new options. Perhaps employing faction of quests to enable the priveledge of purchasing the new items.

Perhaps the greenhoods of Zek could be used to provide armour/clothes with the appearance of fur. Bits of fur like on the short furred playable races, and long furred of the kind we see on our warg manes.

The halflings of Enchanted Lands could have made some items from the local turtle shells along with their Misty Thicket outfits.

The Drednevers of Sol Ro could be persuaded to dish out some lava-red based items. There's not many attractive red outfits in-game, at all.

The villagers of the Island of Mara could fill shops with lots of subtle far-eastern outfits. Monks could finally look like monks rather than kinky S&M afficionados. There's so few options in shirts.

KoS could provide feathered items, beyond merely alluding to feathers in the item-name.

EoF could provide clothes made from the tortured carcasses of Fae. But ah, that's just a private wish.

Further to all that, new and different items could be made with an eye to the over-writing issue and need to be a replication with different colours. Imagine a surcoat or tabard, a chest item designed with a bit of bulk behind it as if it's covering some metal armour, but not as big as a robe and covering up everything else, just covering the chest and thighs. Or a lighter chest slot item with shoulders that stick out a little bit, but retain whatever graphic is adopted by the arms slot.

But yeah, can't see any thought even being given over to it until after the skeletal revamp.
