tradeskill starter quest recipe not there!?

This will be the third time I think I've done this quest since they brought it out. The quest is asking me to create a Forged Tin Greatsword yet I don't have the recipe? I read the book the quest giver gave me and I bought the advanced one off the trainer. I've typed it in the search and nothing and I've gone through the list like 5 times now and still can't find it. What am i missing?

This recipe is level 5 I believe. Make sure your crafting level is at least 5 and that you have scribed the Volume 5 Essentials book. Then the recipe will be available.

Well i have Advanced Artisan Volume 2-5 and Artisan Essentials 2-5 so shouldn't I have it?

<p>My mistake... I just looked it up. It is a level 6 recipe. All recipes for the tradeskill quests are in essentials books because they do not contain rare materials. There should be no need to purchase the advanced books unless you want to make the rare items. Once you hit level 6 and scribe the level 6 book it should be available to you. You can see the recipe listing I used <a href="http://eq2.eqtraders.com/recipes/recipe_page.php?bbi=3889&sb=item&menustr=080040000000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a> if you like. </p><p>The problem with the quest (and it happened to me this way almost every time as well) is that by the time you get to the tin sword part, if you've only been making what is necessary for the quests you are likely not level 6 yet so the recipe isn't available until you grind an extra item or two. ah thank you very much for that link. I'm such a noob to tradeskilling <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> i deleted the quest last night and got it again today and it started me back where i had left off which I thought that was pretty cool <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
