dps after switch to SF SABRE

<p>So, impatiently and without a lot of research, I petitioned and switched from the Soulfire Gladius to the Sabre.   How has my DPS been affected?   Well, so far the results are mixed.   I'm not sure I have the CA timing right.  Been trying to wedge 2 ca's between each sabre swing with a agi/wis build.  I think this is a suspect strategy.</p><p>Initially, on Labs in a raid with about 16 players, my zonewide was around 2300 and maxed with the multimob groups around 3200-3300.    This is pretty competitive with gladius.   Had a good group,... dirge etc.   But it got worse from there.</p><p>On EH, much worse.    Zonewide has been below 2k, and highs have been quite low.    I think this is due to poor group composition (lousy buffs mean i don't hit as often).   But also, my CA strategy may not be working quite as well with sabre.</p><p> Any advice, thoughts, experience in making this transition?   Am also thinking of trying str/wis, or str/agi (DW with DoN).    Anyone have sabre-specific experience with the alternative aa builds?  Thanks very much.</p>

I respec'd to DW 2 months ago and haven't looked back yet. I can't tell you how well the sabre parses with 1H spec, but here are some recent parses of mine with GDoH in main hand and Lucanic Sabre in off hand.Did FTH tonight, I had Guardian, Mystic, Templar, Dirge, Illu, Swash. <p>Thanks, maybe i'll try that for a while and see how it works.   Do you stay with same weapons when you trigger inspiration, or switch?</p>

Not to take anything away from Ark. but his numbers are a bit misleading since I assume he had illusory arm. Not alot of Swash are going to get that, and that really helps dps on dual wield.

Yeah I had illusionary arm. Was using poisoned seeds on the Shredder and Caustic on the rest. We don't have dispatch or anything, though.I never switched weapons for inspiration.

<p>Never had illusory arm buff in raid.   How much more dps in your judgment from that?</p>

I don't really have a direct comparison for mobs without it and with. It brought my double attack from 0% to 25%, though, and double attack is pretty huge. My zonewide minus treyloth and malkonis was 2900. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
