Heya there. Gota quick question and I cannot find the answer no where. I have a new DE Warden that I'm going melee with. Level 15 right now and a handful of AA's. What I want to know is this. Cold snap (witch I don't get for a while) through AA's is converted to a melee attack called cold slice. If I put AA's in that line now will I receive the Cold slice before I get cold snap? The AA doesn't say Cold snap is a requirement to get cold slice. So any one know? Thanks for the help!

can't say i know for sure but i believe that you can get the ability before you get the spell, since the AA doesn't replace the spell just adds a melee skill on the same timer as the spell...

<p>Put a point in it and see. If it doesn't have a level restriction on it then you should be able to get it.</p>

Yes, you do get the CA before the spell. Atleast I did with my AOE CA on my mystic, some 10-12 levels before in fact.

yes, you get the CA even if you dont have the spell yet++Xan
<p>Yes ladd the awnser is yes. </p><p>I would advise ya to disable your combat xp and get 21 AA asap and get that 75% crit at the bottom of the line. You will be very happy that ya did!! </p><p> Take it from the Melee'Monster!!</p>
Disabling combat experience is such a [Removed for Content] option to even be in the game. I can't see why anyone would be happy disabling combat exp. If you'd ever think about stopping combat exp to gain AA exp then find some low level character to mentor and quest with for an afternoon.

Thanks for the replys gang! I got the new CA and let me tell you I'm surely doing something wrong. I cannot hit nothing. I just sit there and heal myself and wait to see myself die. Are these CA's suposed to be this resistable? I'm using a level appropriate scimitar and m slashing is maxxed. But as I said I cannot hit the broadside of a barn.

<p>Hi</p><p>Just to let you know.... Dont Panic!</p><p>Until you get your level 26 Weapon buff spell you will miss alot. Mobs will Parry you alot too. It can be quite painful. I hit 21AA at lvl 20 and until i got lvl 26 it was bad, but i promise after that it is like a different ball game. The buff adds to crushing and slashing so you will be hitting and all good.</p><p>After that I have found the Strength line is nice to go down. At lvl 55 I have 40% DA and a lot of Haste from the strength line, and a 32% chance to passive heal the group from any melee attack. On top of the 75% crit from the Warden Tree.</p><p>I rarely use heal when soloing, and even grouping i never run out of power. So stick with it, you will find it a lot of fun. It is pretty hard to die as a melee Warden, unless you decide to do something a little silly<img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>Ghostwolf<img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" width="15" height="15" /></p>
