So, I finally... after a month of pick-up groups, guild groups that broke up or gave up and spamming my desire for a CMM SOD group... I FINALLY finished up the Into the Heart of Mistmoore quest and got my Luniac Sabre.

My guild actually raided MMIS last night but it was a Sunday night and we didn't have our "A" team and wiped a bunch of times before giving up.

So close... yet so far.

Just curious... What adornments are you WIS 1Handers putting on your Sabre?

I have not adorned mine yet. Torn between Vampiric and Phantom Handle. I was also unsure if I wanted to stick with Sabre or switch to Gladius.

At 125 haste and 125 dps mod, Gladius has a higher max dps. Keep in mind the +5 dps on Saber doesn't do as much for you with DPS values over 100 and contributes nothing at all at dps values of 200. It has a lower min dps though and on average when using CAs it won't perform as well but if you are good at timing CAs, Gladius is better. They both have approximately the same ratio between min and max damage so the crit % affects both equally. It is only when considering how CAs interfere with the weapon delay that Saber does better. So from a min max point of view yes it's a tough call because you can potentially do more dps with the gladius. Besides, everyone else is going with saber so if you want to stand out like every good swashbuckler should, you gotta be different.

I adorned mine with a phantom handle. While the vampiric handle is the strongest DPS wise of all the adorns, I personally prefer the longevity that the phantom handle offers. Not only does it help with long raid fights, where I don't need to use mental breach very often these days...But in regards to heroic/soloing, I don't really ever need a power break.

I went with the vampiric handle.

The damage is nice and the I think the heal proc is useful when getting hit by ae's (blood colussus suck) because the healers don't have to worry much about me. Also I seldom run out of power during fights thanks to bard and enchanter buffs.

It is also nice when 2 boxing my dirge instead of a healer because then I'm relying on procs for most of my heals.
