I've been harvesting in TS, and I have tons of wood, roots, hides, etc. yet I have no Carbonite Clusters, and right now that is all I need to level. I am a level 27 woodworker and having a hell of a time getting out of tier 3.

I've been doing the technique where you harvest everything around so that all the nodes pop up, yet it seems I can never get enough Carbonite to compare, or when I do get a node all I get is the loam. I tried saying on the crafting channel that I am trading for Carbonite, but no luck there, and carbonite is quite expensive on the broker...

... any advice?

Nope, just keep at it. Many classes need one thing (usually ore or roots) more than another; it's one of the challenges of being a crafter.

My advice is to try Nek Forest. I found far more ore nodes there than in TS, for some odd reason.

I noticed that there is a good supply of ore nodes in ButcherBlock the other day as well. You might try there as well.

Eternal Gorge - top of Zarvonn's tower in the Commonlands (near Nek exit). This is an instance zone and while it may not have a large number of nodes, you dont have to clearcut anything. Just zone out and back in.

In Butcherblock, inside the tunnels that lead to the West and East Irontoe Brigade forts are good sources of stone and ore. Around The Quarry is also a good spot, but mob heavy.Nek Forest around the base of N'Marr's Ascent and along the river to the left just before you get up to the Ascent are good spots. There's also around Mound Lake which can have a good supply if you get to clear cutting. Areas up around where Dragoon K'Naae is, but again it's aggro heavy.

Others covered T3, but here's a tip for T4. If you are of at least adventure level 40 and have normal Cove of Decay access (the manastone version), it's got T4 nodes. There is no lockout if you just go in to harvest the nodes and at 40, all the land dwelling stuff should be grey. Grab the ore and whatever else, zone out, zone back in, harvest again. I did this to stock up on T4 ore. Too bad I didn't realize this until my last of 6 crafting alts was already almost done with T4. This didn't take long either. I'm still half-heartedly thinking of harvesting a boatload of feyiron clusters and putting it on the broker...
