Howdy,I am looking for a soloer in the tier5 thru tier7 realms and summoners appear to me to be very boring where the pet is the mob's focus. At the most, all I am looking to do is solo blue con ^^^ dungeon names in tier5 thru tier7 where the zone is crowded and ya gotta be careful of adds.Would a Bruiser accomplish what I have written?thanks for read'n.

Bruiser and Monk are pretty much the only two classes that can solo SoS claymore. Not even a summoner could pull that off. Wizard could probably solo Nest and PoA better than a bruiser. I have heard of Coercers solo'ing Den but not bruisers. Bruiser is considered one of the best solo'ers overall because of our FD capabilities.

I can currently solo all named in sos minus gylton and the x2 epic, and have soloed all but green dragon and enmity in poa. Can also solo butler in catacombs, so u should be able to solo a hell of a lot of T7 if u so choose if ur being smart about it.

My statements are conjecture so I am hoping players will validate one way or the other. This is why I'm posting here. I do my best to validate what players state by querying the items in the eq2player website character database. I figure good gear, spell grades, AA implementation, and strategy determines a Bruiser's solo capabilities like any other character when these four variables are focused for solely soloing instead of grouping/raiding. Unfortunately, my problem is that I do not know if the advice I am receiving is coming from Bruisers where all the four variables previously stated are focused for soloing instead of grouping/raiding. As I see it, the only resolution to this problem is having a good number of posts stating the opposite or the same then make my assessment. Thanks for the post. Keep'm coming. EDIT : Sorry, I put in Brigand instead of Bruiser in this post. I had Brigand on the mind. Try'n to decide between the two.

Wow, I can't wait until I can solo these kinds of things. Are you guys EoF fabled or what?

Currently I can take out blue ^^^ non named and some green named, beyond that I get stomped. Thats at 68 with 2 pieces of KoS fabled, 1 DoF fabled and mostly player made.

As I understand, the highest physical mitigation armor a Bruiser can wear is leather armor. Also, I have read that the Bruiser's FD does not always trigger according to the high chance for a successful FD. I'm wondering what allows the Bruiser to do so well as a soloer. Do Bruisers get some crazy mitigation and/or avoidance buffs? How much of an important role involves the Bruiser's FD for soloing in SoS? In the DPS parse, how well does a Bruiser in offensive stance perform compared to a Brigand?I hope Uumuuanu question is answered. I do not mean to drown him with my questions.Novusod wrote:
Bruiser is considered one of the best solo'ers overall because of our FD capabilities.
I've also read that the Brigand can obtain a AA FD capability, but I do not know how well this capability performs against the Bruiser's FD.

I've read also that a Bruiser receives a heal capability. Can somebody give me more details on this?

FD is the most important part of bruiser solo'ing. A lot of named arn't just single targets but have adds and some times those adds are also ^^^ heroics. For a bruiser this is not a problem because we can fear the named away, burst damage down the adds and then FD. Now you can fight the named alone with no adds. When you get the the level 56 FD mastered at 96% it almost never fails. We also have a self heal on a 90 second timer to help get out of tricky situations. The level 70 FD master is unstopablely over powered. Take a look at this sick video of a bruiser FD'ing claymore updates in Labs. It you are actually looking to raid I have to say go pick another class. It you are looking for parlor tricks and fun solo'ing then you can't go wrong with bruiser.

However, adding the 2 second timer to widget interaction broke a whole bunch of other quests. I think that one's called Indomitable Will at some point. It's on a rather long timer though. (disclaimer - my bruiser is only 28 )

Yeah, my point all along. Got confused by the replies....You won't be able to click on the books while FD anymore with LU38. Standing up for 2 seconds with a room full of epic mobs, labs or not, you will die.agressiv

Named farming is perfectly possible for a non-raider.. It will just require some time put into your character. Believe it or not, masters over adept III make a pretty huge difference.
