some of us chose our rewards way way before this new GU. When we had no idea on the DW versions.. which do we feel is better now?

obviously you can't put gladius in off hand and so limits your options.

I have a feeling that soe wont allow you to change quest rewards so long after chosing one.. however as a one handed wis specced weap the gladius is yummy

since its been a major change to the combat system you can /petition to have your reward changed

Ironically, if you're 1h, Sabre is better. If you're dual wield, gladius is better.

From what Ive seen the gladius outperforms one handed. The sabre is btter for dual wield assuming you have another 4.0 weapon.

There is a spread sheet on eq2 flames that shows the damg range and effectivness.

The sabre is better for onehanding due to max hits, procs, etc. Just the basic reasons you use slow weapons.

The gladius is better for dual wielding because the best delays for dual wielding are 1.5 and 3.0 due to it simplifying combat art timing and not breaking your delay into some stupidly complicated fraction that kinda seems to screw with auto attack going off anyway. And you want your delays to be the same, or it least have weapons whose delays, in relation to eachother, do not divide as an extensive or endless fraction.

Best dual wield combo I know of atm is Soulfire Gladius and Edged Pick of Earthly Might.

OK here is the DPS for these weapons. Dont take my word for it see for yourself.

http://www.eq2flames.com/swashbuckl...r-wis-spec.html

I would disagree on Gladius and Edge pick being the best. I would have to go Clearcutter Mach and Edge pick.

Honestly tired of debating with people who don't know weapons, so I'm not going to bother <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />
