The day the patch came out, as a carpenter and a follower of the amazingly funny and kool deity Bristlebane, I made a couple altars which sold immediately after i put them in my salesbox and announced them for sale in chat. I went to make more today, and the first one I made was no-trade! Then I suddenly remembered that altars must be made for others thru the commisioning window and it dawned on me that the devs must have forgot. Good thing I didn't make myself one before or I'd been stuck with 2 rare crafted altars. I've had the 6p recipe book for a long time and I do a ton of furniture orders all the time, and I never get orders for these but I know for sure that i could sell a ton on broker. A lot of people won't go thru the commision process on an altar unless they really really want one. A lot of people don't even know about the commision window process believe it or not. So I was thinking, why can't the devs just make it attunable? Make it so that you can't use it unless it is attuned. It would make things easier on us. I personally never use the commissioning window but I am glad it is there as a choice.BTW - I love the Altar design for Britlebane!

Crafted altars used to be lore (not no trade). Make sure what you saw as a no trade altar in inventory or wherever wasn't one of the quest rewards, but one of the crafted ones. All my common and rare altar recipes yield altars that are fully tradeable. (Mastercrafted and no-value tags on them, and that's it)

It would be even better if they made the fabled altars that are raid drops attunable.

how would some one equip an alter in order to attune it?

I am 100% sure I crafted 2 rare Bristlebane altars, announced on chat that they were up for sale, my good friend came over and bought the first one out of the sales box, another person came over and bought the second one from my salesbox. At that point the Ebony rare price was too high so I didn't buy anymore rares to craft them. The next day I bought more rares and the first altar I made was no-trade and it wouldn't even let me put it into the salesbox.Hiya Simp,You could make it attunable by not allowing anyone to use it unless it is attuned. You know how you double click it to bring up the spell menu, well just make it bring up the window that asks you if you would like to attune it in order to use it. Same window that comes up when you use armor.

Better /bug it then because it sounds like something has gone wrong - at least that's how I'm reading Domino's post. It shouldn't be no-trade.

After seeing this post I logged in my carpenter play character, dug up some ebony, and made a rare Bristlebane altar. It is not no trade, nor is it Lore. I remain baffled! All I can say is, if you're seeing a no trade flag that shouldn't be possible, and I'd suggest you /bug it and let QA try and figure it out. As far as I'm aware, and as far as I can reproduce in game with my own carpenter, the Bristlebane altar has always been tradeable and that has never changed and it is still tradeable as of now./confused halflingPost a screenshot?
