Can some of you give me some suggestions for what would be a good partner for a swashie. They are both active characters and not two boxing or anything. I'd prefer good or neutral class suggestions.Monk?Paladin?Bezerker?Healer types?2 swashies?any others?

Thanks for the input. But just out of curiosity how would a Troubador/Swashie team do?Swashie has 2 aoe's, does the troubie have any aoe's?

Spreading the DPS thin for having no sort of healing at all...SK I know for a fact can heal themselves fine through single pull ^^^ blue mobs... not sure if it's the same for pallies. The swash DPS would just make things go faster.Or the Swashie could take the hits with an Inq healing and pumping DPS (battle cleric/100% crit spec'd)

<p>A healer makes a LOT of sense, but a duo where only one has intrinsic stealth/invis will get old quick.</p><p>Its not worth much perhaps but our conjuror/swashie duo is almost at cap and has been a HUGE success throughout. The total lack of healing is the only thing we get hurt by. </p>

A guild-friend duoed his swashy mostly with the fury from his wive, and there was not much that they couldn't take.

i say mystic and its what i use as my boxed healer. main reason why a warder? WARDS stop the hit from ever happening and allows your bravado proc to stay up more. Mystic also gets a proc increase buf thats very nice making your breach fire more often. The buf you very nicely also. Have a pet for pulling those hard to get to mobs. For those pulls you know are going to be rough bolster plus prewards for around 9k are just freaking awsome. Add in ritual of aclarity for a 33% reduction to cast times and reuse speeds and it has a pretty fast recast time on it. If your up to having them help you with damage then just have them auto attack your target with there 100% melee crits. IMO mystics just are a swashies best friend!

<p>My swashie duos with a warden, and it is one of the best duos I have ever tried. Key is to spec the warden as offensively as possible and the swashie as evasively as possible - yes, that's right, in our duo, the warden does the tanking. Because swashies have taunts, we started out with me tanking, but it turned out to be far more effective to have the warden tank. With hate transfer and INT spec on a swashbuckler, you are basically doing the taunting for the warden. I almost never grab aggro with this set-up, and because I am not tanking, I'm free to put out some pretty darn fine DPS. So yeah, a warden is a good choice.. but whatever you do, I do think that any duo needs some kind of healing. It just makes life that much easier (I love my coercer/wizard duo, but it can get pretty frustrating because of the lack of healing).</p>

Int line is still a waste of points. You be better off now with the DW changes to go str and agi spec go 8 into the abitlity that spins the mob. This will allow you enough time to fire off all your back attacks and i usualy get a couple of the pirate stabs off from the back proc while they are turned. Simple fact you as a swashy can take hits much better than the warden so less heals needed and flat out rouges make awsome dps tanks Agro control via DPS!

I still say you should make a SK =P Keeping semi-up to date on gear has allowed myself and my troub partner to duo our way through blue instances rather easily.

<p>A swashie friend and I (<i>Zerker</i>) have been having a great ol time duoing. He has the group invis going on, which saves me shelling out a fortune in totems. He also has the feign death AP ability to help get us from A to B. </p><p>We've recently lorded it up over in Palace of Awakened. All but completed my PoA claymore quests, and we've killed everything in there, ring events, funky dragons, the lot. Yellow, white and blue conning ^^^ mobs. </p><p>It's the zerkers ability to take damage, dish it out, and reduce downtime with the Bind Wound AP ability. And the chumbuwumbas can save the day in particularly gribbly fights (<i>chumbuwumbas = Unyeilding Will and Visions of Madness - "I get knocked down, but I get up again</i>"<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Have also been enjoying success playing my Paladin with another swashie. That swashie doesn't have so many abilities, but is getting there. With the swashie redirecting their threat, and the Paladin's Amends hoovering even more, agro ain't an issue. About all I have to do is stun then ward myself, fight, stun and heal, fight, stun and ward, rinse and repeat. The pair of us ripped Crushbone a new hole. </p><p> </p>

I don't know about swashie but I play a brigand and my partner a defiler, let me tell ya this is the best combo we have tried, even better then our previous SK defiler, which was strong but too slow imo (too defensive and not offensive enough).. The brigand has enough DPS and defilers are awesome defensive healers to make up for the fact a brigand isnt a "true" tank.. Plus brigands, and swashies too I am sure, have enough stuns to easily get all her back attacks while tanking. Walk the plank, an aa ability, is great for that also it turns the mob around and faces their rear at ya. Defilers are very defensive healers so great with a DPS class

been trying to decide on a duo for my swashy, but I will be two-boxing...I am leaning towards a fury or warden because the heals/buffs and porting...but I'm also thinking about a mystic, because the wards would make it a very simple 2nd box class...The other class I want to try is the pally...with amends I think the pally would be able to hold aggro w/out two much attention and that would leave my swashy free to deal out dps...plus the pally has some healing abilities...any thoughts?

From experience swashie fury works well <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
