Help me out there guys. I normally raid with Vyemm's Fang in Mainhand and Infirmity in offhand. Now with the new update they both have increased DR. However so does my Shadowaxe, so I equip it in my Offhand (delay = 2.5) and I come up 5th or 6th on the parse list. Then I switch back to my old setup and I'm back to 2nd or 3rd. It would seem that the Shadowaxe should give me more DPS but that aint happening (I'm Str/Agi specced to the bottom btw). Should I stick with my old setup or put the axe in my main? The axe has less DR than Vyemm's fang.

Don't look at the DR at all, IMO. I look at the high hit / delay. The reason being that with crits you are hitting for max hit + 1 a lot of the time (30% on my swashie on raids). The other thing to look at is the damage range (high ranges are worse). The ideal weapon would be a low range but high high hit, on a long timer (to make the most use of haste). In this light, the Shadow Axe doesn't come out all that well.

Shadow axe is 3.2 delay and Vyemm's Fang is 2.1 delay when dual wielding them. Unhasted you would have a difficult time timing them to your combat arts, so one or the other is getting delayed and cutting into your DPS.

Duel wielding really seems to work best at this time if you have two almost identical weapons in speed. For instance my swash is using Ancient sarnak war cutlass, and dirk of negativity, same rating, (.1) delay difference, and almost same damage. together they are hitting at almost the same time making it easier to time combat arts and increase my damage. I've noticed while testing if your weapons speeds are not close to eachother you seem to be taking a huge damage hit duel wielding. But if they match your damage can increase by a large amount.

<p><span style="font-size: small;font-family: Times New Roman;">Ok quick question on this subject. My swashy is currently str/wis and using a VSS. I also have a shadow axe,  would his dps improve duel wielding them and going str/agi or would it decrease? Just curious as I was bored and reading posts. Any advice from those of you that like to figure out the numbers would be appreciated. </span></p>

<p>Hello all</p><p>I got Vyemm's Fang over the weekend and am now DW'ing with that and the Qeynos Klijj (both 1.6 delay if I remember correctly).  I was using the SoD sabre and 1H'ing before.  Was trying out the new spec last night against the mobs in Kaladim and was almost consistantly over 1200 dps soloing with 1 spike up to almost 2000.  I am also using the plug in for ACT that allows me to hear when I hit to allow me to get the timing of my CA's better.  WIll have to see what happens when I am in raid next weekend.</p>

<p>The only true answer to these type of questions is to do what you did and try different specs yourself AND parse them to compare yourself in different situations.  </p><p>Sorry but that is the Best answer for these type of questions.</p>
