Every since I built my new PC, I've  been having a minor issue with artifacting on my eVGA 8800 GTS card.  Before anyone says it, I don't think it's heat or bad video memory because... A) the card never crosses 72C or so, which is well within it's acceptable boundaries and... B) I don't have any artifacts playing other games or applications...Bioshock, Half-Life 2, running the ATITool artifact tester, endless 3D Mark testing, etcAs for the specifics-It seems to only happen on raids.  I *never* see it when I single play or am in a group...even if I play for hours and hours.  I can stay online in Qeynos Harbor for hours and not see a single thing.-It seems especially bad when in Mistmoore Castle for some reason.   I really don't seem to notice it in FTH...maybe occasionally.-The artifacts are minor dark tears/triangles that take anywhere from 5 to maybe 15% of the screen...it isn't constant...just flashes for a millisecond on the screen and I maybe notice 3-5 instances of it a minute at its worst.  It seems to most happen when spell effects are going nuts on the screen (which is maybe why its so prevalent in raids),  but I occasionally see it when nothing much is going on in the raid as well.Anyone experience something similar?  I've tried a few different Nvidia drivers, and I am currently running the latest beta drivers.  My stats...Core2Duo E6750 running at 3.6gHz eVGA 8800 GTS 320MBAbit IP35 Pro motherboard2GB Crucial DDR800 memoryA well cooled P-182 caseRun mostly Very High video settings in gameXP Pro, fully patchedThanks

Given some recent 'testing', I wouldn't be surprised if EQ2 is touching video RAM those other games don't. So it could perhaps be your cards RAM, however it sounds a little more like the GPU overheating or perhaps having issues at whatever clock rate it's running at (I'm assuming you're not overclocking it). Two things to suggest;1. Try using Video Memory Watcher (or rivatuner I believe does the same) to monitor memory usage (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=382170" target="_blank">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...opic_id=382170)</a>. Do this with a couple of the other games and see if they utilise the same memory as EQ2.2. Underclock your GPU by about 10 - 20MHz (or if you are overclocking it, don't). You won't notice much performance difference but it might make the problem less prevalent or go away altogether. This would mean it's either heat or not so great quality GPU. You should also maybe try underclocking the RAM as well if the GPU doesn't seem to make a difference. From my experience through overclocking; weird geometry or flashing polygons generally means your GPU is having problems. Twinkling dots on part or all of the screen (which generally gets worse and worse) is likely memory.Best of luck.
